How does per-message pricing work?

You purchase a set volume of messages up front, and draw down from that balance over the course of your agreement.

Can I switch plans later?

Yes. You can upgrade your plan or add volume and accounts at any time, and we'll prorate the change to align with your current billing cycle. Downgrades take effect at renewal.

If you exceed the message volume included in your plan during a billing period, the additional messages are billed at your overage rate.

What counts as a message credit?

When you buy messages, you're buying credits — and not every message uses just one. Carriers break texts into fixed-size segments, and each segment uses one credit. A standard text of up to 160 characters is one segment (one credit).

Longer messages, or messages containing emojis or special characters, are split across multiple segments and use multiple credits. As a guide, most messages use 1 credit, but a longer one may use 3–4. MMS (picture/media messages) use 3 credits each.

What's the contract length? Monthly or annual?

All TextUs agreements begin with a 12-month term and can be extended by agreement. We don't currently offer month-to-month plans, but monthly billing is available on any 12-month or longer commitment.

Do you integrate with my ATS or CRM?

Most likely, yes. We offer direct integrations with leading CRMs — including Salesforce and HubSpot — and major ATS platforms such as Bullhorn, LaborEdge, TrackerRMS, TalentReef, Greenhouse, Workday, Oracle, and SAP.

We also integrate with Zapier, so you can connect TextUs to over 8,000 other apps and build your own workflows.

What's included in support across plans?

Essential and Pro plans include email and ticket-based support. Enterprise and Custom plans add a dedicated Customer Success Manager on top of email and ticket support.
